Best Place in S America to buy a bike around 250 cc .

As I want to travel around as many countries as possible in 2-3 months where is the most convenient and economical place to do this from ? Argentina , Bolivia , Brazil or Colombia ? I hear Peru has complications with driving out .

First much easier buying a new motorcycle specially if you don't speak Spanish. In that case the motorcycle shop will take care to prep ll the documents and also you also know you have a new motorcycle.

Buy use motorcycle there lots of unknown about the bike. In most country if the previous owner had pending fine the new owner will be responsible to pay the fine that is related to the motorcycle.

I would think Colombia, Chile, peru and Uruguay offer the best adventages.

Start your search the get ready section you will find info. To get started. It would time, consuming but you will be rewarded.

Bolivia

Maybe not the best (easiest) place to buy bigger or used bikes, but consider Bolivia if you want to buy a new 250cc Chinese bike, register it in your name and travel all around South America. Bolivia is not the easiest place in South America, but it can be done and has been done many times. With a bit of help you are on the road within a couple of days after arrival here.

Enjoy South America.

Colombia

I would say Colombia.
Bye a new one. Travel around.
Sell it again in Colombia when you are done.
Easy and legal.

Than you won't have to spend a lot of effort with the purchase and selling.
And can use the time driving.

SA is giant.
The goal to visit as many countries as possible ??
Maybe not the best. Take time to find and stop at all the beautiful places.
Go off the main road and discover. Would be my advice.

But it is your trip. And you will enjoy, whatever you do.

From Colombia your are going into Ecuador.
In my view a very underrated country. Because people just pass on Pan American.
It has everything within a small area.
Beaches by the Pacific.
Green agriculture a bit from the coast.
The Andes. Nature and culture
The Amazonas (El oriente) on the other side of the Andes
