Larry it will be really easy!
All you have to do is buy it and get what they call a "traffic register" and you can register the bike on your passport number at the local traffic authorities. The dealer should be able to help you with all of that or if you are buying private ask the seller to point you in the direction of the traffic offices.
I dont foresee any trouble or the need of a carnet for the countries you are travelling too, but if you want one just get it from the AA in SA and it cost about R3000.
