A couple of pictures and we say goodbye to Bhaktapur

we go to Dhulikhel but we are not lucky, as is foggy, so no mountain views.
Back to Kathmandu, we pass Pashupatinath temple, and then we visit Boudhanath stupa

After we manage to survive to the traffic, we reach Thamel

Morning trip to Kakani: is not exactly crystal clear, but finally we can see the mountains again.
When it is clear the view must be spectacular ...

then we return to Kathmandu, give back the bike and go for a walk around the city.
Traffic can be a little problem even for pedestrians ...

We are now on foot and running out of the holiday. We decide to visit the nearby Patan (Lalitpur), but before we go to the local Vespa Club to look for a couple of spare parts for my Bajaj

Then back to Kathmandu

5/12/14

Last day: we go visit Swayambhunath, the monkey temple

we also assist to some kind of hindu ritual, even Nepalese people passing by looks a bit stumped, while the monkeys don't care

Here you can see all the details ...

Last walk in a Kathmandu

Next morning we have our flight back home: goodbye Nepal, we'll be back someday...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
