How's this for a coincidence?
I was in Baja doing the same thing at the same time. Only I passed up Baja Norte for the south, looking for warm water. Like you, I could find no one to join me, so I soloed it too. I also rode a DR650 (2009), and I can see we had some of the same mods. You did a much better job, though. Fortunately, I had no get-offs. I started a blog leading up to my trip (surfmotoblog.com), and for a couple of days into it. I didn't take many photos or much video, and haven't really gone back to it since getting home. I should add the rest. Anyhow, now I'm getting the itch again to get back down there, which is how I found your posts. Great job! When you going again?
