Good shop: Quito Ecuador
Hola muchachos,
If you need a good place to fix or have your bike fixed in Quito, look no further; contact this guy.
Diego Salvador.
His shop is a family thing, as he works with his dad. His shop is small but very effective.
On our stop in Quito he helped us do maintenance on our bikes, find parts and tires. He was also a good source of information with reference to places to see and visit, both in Quito and the rest of Ecuador.
Here are the details:

Tecnimoto
Let me add Carlos Hugo Arias Leon to the list of great bike shops in Quito. Carlos is the owner/mechanic of Tecnimoto. I met him on the Stahlratte crossing from Panama to Cartagena and visited him with a few sizable problems on my KLR. He's very knowledgeable with big bikes and was riding an older BMW when I met him.
You won't be disappointed and you won't be gringo'd. He spent half a day working on my bike after sourcing all the needed parts. The parts were way less than stock parts in the us and he charged me $10 for labor. If you do visit him, tell him I say hi and thanks.
Here's his info...

+1 Pro Racing
Just got back from ProRacing and can agree with everything said above.
A point that hasn't been mentioned is that they are an official Triumph and Husaberg (lots of the same parts as KTM) dealer.
Sebastian spent an hour on the phone trying to find a battery to fit a F650GS, they fitted new tyres to the bike that I suppied for $5.
The guys in the workshop are really helpful and everybody seem quite happy to have me stand around watching while they did the work.
The service manager is Hector Cordero (125 GP and AMA superbike rider from many moons ago, top fella).

I think he is the only Race Tech authorized guy in Ecuador, so he should be good on suspensions.

Honest shop in Quito
Hi,
Just went to City Moto Sport in Quito to fix a small thing.
The workers there are efficient and working on all kind of bikes (Suzukis & BMWs).
Located at the corner of the Avenida de la Republica and Mañosca (00°10′36.44″S 78°29′34.07″W).
Cheers

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
