Family rv for sale

In a few months, our voyage will come to an end and we will be selling our RV to another family for their own trip of a lifetime. It will be available July or August in Columbia, but may be Santiago, Buenos Aires or Montevido.
The RV is a 1994 Ford Transit Laika Ecovip 22.5l TD with rear wheel twin propulsion. It had around 255,000 km. in August 2019 (the motor is very resistant).
The RV was refurbished in 2017 for a North and South American road trip.

Cabin :
Sleeps 7 (incl. 4 fixed beds: 2 bunks and 1 cab over bed); bedding replaced in Dec. 2019
Great living area that fits 6-8 people comfortably

Equipment :
Trimix refrigerator with freezer: works at 40F or 5000m
Very versatile oven: make own bread or bake anything you want!
Truma gaz heater
Solar panel (165W) with 2 gel cell (80amps)
600W 220V converter
Water heater (? gallons)
Interior and exterior shower
Dry toilet with urine diverter (no smell!)
Clean water tank 150l
Grey water tank 100l
Black water tank 60l
Carbon monoxide detector
Fire extinguishers (2)
Shoe rack (?)
Roof rack
Lots of upgrades
Furniture in good shape (no need to fix it up every 5000km)
We’ll leave all our equipment: camping table, chairs, gaz cylinders (US and Argentina ), pressure cooker and whatever else doesn’t fit in our luggage for our flight back to France
Overall, in good shape, but it is showing some wear and tear: reading lights have been replaced, some window curtains and mosquito screens need attention (or not, not a huge deal).

Mechanical :
In 2017, the RV was fully serviced:
– breaking system and pads
– gear box
– back axle and drive gears
– clutch and flywheel
– bearings
– alternator
– starter
– all 4 shock absorbers (2 new this year)
– steering pump
– turbo
– mufflers
– pre-fuel filter
– … and more
During the trip :
– new timing belt, water pump and auxiliary belt at 236,000 km
– oil change with new filters every 7000 km
Safety Equipment :
– spare tire (front and back)
– auxiliary belt
– clutch cable
– steering ball
– injection pump sealing rings

This vehicle has never been in an accident, it runs at 80/90 km. per hour, which is the speed limit in the Americas, and has never broken down. It has been serviced regularly and well cared for.
We are proud to be traveling with this great RV. We are only selling it to avoid shipping it to Europe (to avoid the cost and pollution associated with transcontinental shipping); and to allow someone else to use it to fulfill their dream trip.

Price: 13,000 Euros

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
