EX MOD Leyland Daf Build- Overland Camper Truck

Hello all,

Well here we are again embarking on a new project. I have gained myself a Leyland Daf 4x4. It can be seen, along with all the updates on my blog under the camper build.

Grab a brew and have a look at it! (hint, its under overland camper build), a bit pic heavy at the moment. But you get the idea.

Let me know your thought. Cab has been painted. I am still pondering about the body design.

First lick of paint was applied-

After a lot of sanding, and paint stripping I got round to painting the cab. nice bit of neutral colours. However spraying silver is a right PITA!!

Hiya
Tried clicking on the link to Dennis the Disco and came up with a blank page. Is the link broken or incorrect?
Good luck with your build.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll be following your progress and making a donation as I'm also doing a camper conversion at the moment - from a RB44 comms truck.

That's great I did look at one of those, however the head room was a contributing factor. I have been limited with space with the Disco and wanted to go down a different route with this. Thanks very much for the donation. Be sure to use the website as much as possible and if you need any advise on anything that I can assist with be sure to send me a PM. It is greatly appreciated and good to hear from like minded folk!

The overland trailer build has some really good features in the website and shows how a little bit of fab skills can go really really far! Please feel free to use the inspiration!

I don't know about DAF trucksas such as I chose to build on a MB, but there are plenty of guys building on DAFs at the moment on Home - Overlander. in the UK.

Might be a good place for advice.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
