Defender Rear Setup

Hello Everybody ,

Im currently kitting out my Defender and I've 95% completed the rear fit out.

Ive used Mobile Storage systems units throughout and got some custom security features built in too.

What do you all think ?

Do you think I missed anything or do you have any suggestions of things I should also include?

What are the seats in the back for ? Leg room seems to be a bit lacking . Whats the thinking behind the door in the load barrier?

I'm a bit jealous. This looks really amazing. I've always wanted a Land Rover and to do something like this to it. Great Job!!!

if the fridge is a national lunar weekend you have it to close to the bulkhead,
it needs a lot of space for the fan at the back to circulate the air and in the back of a defender it wont get too much.
we have been using national lunar for a while now and find that the fan goes so take a spare, you can use a computer fan but they are quite noisy, also the fridge cover great for europe but hot countries just over heats it.
we took off the grating protecting the fan as this heats up a hell of a lot and keeps the compressor hot, and it is easier to clean the fan and condenser
coil,
we had 200mm space all round the back of ours and in spain it overheated
and that was in the back of a sprinter with lots of circulating air.
the rest looks great but being a landy lover i am biased ha ha

safe travels

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
