Hi bodenseeoverlander,

I have only started planning my trip a couple of days ago so have a lot of work to do !

I am also looking at a September crossing but ideally early-mid September as I want to be able to ride the North of India and crossing in late September may mean the roads close by that time

Are you fairly fixed on late September?

If so, that is fine, i will let you know if my plans change at all.

Alternatively, if I am to do it alone in early September, would you mind sharing some of the information you have gathered so far with me so that I can also look at a similar option?

Thanks in advance

Sleeping on an idea can really change things...

I've decided to scrap my idea of trying to get into India by September as this would really rush things

In that case, a late September crossing would be perfect.

if there is still any room in your group to add another, please let me know

I am a 29 year old male from Sydney, Australia riding solo on a GSXR600

Please feel free to email me on ar@7d1s.com and we can organise further.

Happy to talk over the phone/Whatsapp if required to

Hi everyone , my partner and I are also planning to use the KKH but not until mid October . We are going to Mongolia for the Golden Eagle festival so won't be leaving till after that event which starts first week of October. If your in Mongolia you might want to stay a while longer , it should be a once in a lifetime thing .)) Any way if any body wants to travel a little later wed love to met up somewhere . We are late 50s early 60s travelling on a BMW Pari Dakar .
Either way we might meet up some place and if not stay safe and have fun everyone , Phil and Angie .

Hi,

I'm travelling from Austria to SE-Asia on my motorcycle and would like to cross from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan in Mid/End September. Are you still looking for companions to join your tour?

Cheers,
Paul

For anyone else following this, there does appear to be a lot of us attempting to cross around this time! I'm on a motorcycle heading to NZ and looking to head into China around the beginning of October. Feel free to pm me or email kiwi.nomad@hotmail.com to arrange a convoy!
Otherwise safe travels!
Ash

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
