Good morning! Strange, except for Kyrgystan, the other states are open, says the site from IATA!

Kyrgyzstan is definitely open I am here and had no issues getting in last week.

Talked to a german guy yesterday (we were helping him to pick up his GSA) and he had gotten there via georgia/russia/kazakhstan. IIRC he had to get russian invitation to cross the border but that was the only limitation he met.

IIRC KZ and UZ still require PCR test but they didn't ask me anything after showing my vaccination card.. and it was the same at other crossings. If you do need one it could be had just on the border.

Be prepared to spend a few hours at every border crossing, even if they mostly don't mind you cutting the line, YMMV.

It looks like it says exactly the opposite and I can confirm this: I've been to Kyrgyzstan last week and even vaccination card was not requested.

You can fly in and ship bike across the border; that's what my contact at Caspian ferry said 2 month ago

There are definitely some travellers on facebook who could enter Aserbaidschan with the bike.

But they got a permit from the embassy in Turkey before.

And later they crossed with the ferry to Kasachstan

Today someone wrote on facebook the the Azerbaidschan embassy in Tblisi will not issue special permits anymore.

And probably they extend the quarantaine closure of the landborder to the 1st of september.

I'm also curious about this would love to hear more about it also on my way to east. Which Facebook groups was it in?

I have read some stories on caravanistan but those were from bicyclists who flew into Azerbaijan by plain with there bike and then where able to exit via the ferry to Kazakhstan.
And also a couple who entered Azerbeidzjan via the ferry from Kazakhstan.
But I haven't found any positive stories yet from people with motorcycles or cars.

There is a discussion going on on caravanistan about getting your vehicle imported by a local transport company and flying in yourself by plane and then continue onto the ferry but no positive conformations on that yet.
