Looking for bike storage in/around Los Angeles

Hi All,

I've just completed part-1 of my RTW ride on a KTM 530Exc starting from the Middle-east, Central Asia, Mongolia, Russia and now shipping my bike from Vladivostok to Long Beach, CA. After shipping my bike, i'm taking a 3-4 month break from riding, going back home to spend time with my family and during this break, i would like to put my bike into storage. , Then i'll be returning to the US to do some riding (incl. the TAT) and head south, all the way to Ushuaia. My routes for the US and SA are not firmed up yet, i'll just go with a rough route plan as i did in central asia and Russia, i also try to ride as much dirt as possible, hence the choice of bike. See link below for updates/pics of my ride.

I'm looking for help with bike storage in/around LA during this period so, if you have space for a bike to be stored for a couple of months (Nov-Feb most probably) and can help me out, please do let me know. Upon my return to the US, i'll be spending some time doing repairs/maintenance on the bike and will be glad to share my story during this time.

My bike should arrive at Long Beach port by 1st week Nov but i will not be in the US at this time, having flown back home so i'm looking for transportation service from Long Beach port to an address in/nearby long beach. A google search returns some firms which can provide such services but i'm not sure how reliable they would be OR if there are better options out there. Are there any recommended companies that you guys could refer me to ?

all inputs appreciated

thanks
Vik

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
