Insurance for UK bikes in the USA

I bring groups of UK based bikes over to the USA every year and for insurance use either Fernet or Motorcycle Express for insurance cover. Had no problems over the last 15 years but have just been told by Motorcycle Express that their provider have pulled the plug and no longer offers this cover. Checked on the Fernet site and the same applies. It seems like it's something to do with teh new GDPR rules in place in Europe.

Anyhow, this leaves a bit of a headache so anyone know of a good provider? I've checked through teh threads and have already contacted Lion Insurance but any other links would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I use Progressive but this requires a US address and they might not do short term cover, you would need to ask.

I'm going out in September but hiring. I'm using Navigator Travel to cover my insurance whilst there, based at Manchester 0161 9736435. James Cargo 01753 687722 can also provide insurance when you ship with them, I don't know if they'll do it independently but its worth a try. Hope this helps Gary

Thanks Mark and I've contacted them already. They are just working out if they can help.

Thanks Gary and I'll investigate navigator. I won't ring James as I always use Motofreight

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
