Baffy, you might want to post something more specific, with a more descriptive title.

For example, I don't know where you're planning to arrive or where you're going ("CA" can mean either California, a US state 1400 km from north to south with more than one international airport, or Central America).

Your title could read "Need Mechanical Help near LAX" if, in fact, you need mechanical help near Los Angeles International Airport. Posting a few details about your planned trip might incite interest as well, along with offers of support and places to stay.

Hope that's helpful.

Need Mechanical Help near LAX

Hello!

I´ll arrive at the airport Los Angeles on the 4th of April, the next day I plan to get my motorbike (arrived by plane) on LAX out of the customs to start my trip.

As I am not very experienced in motorbike fixing, I am looking for someone, who´s got time and experience to get my motorbike (in the box) out off the customs. Then get it fixed (tyre, handlebar..) to be able to drive it.

As I am leaving mid of june from LA, I need a place to store the box somewhere around. Therefore I´m glad if someone could give mea hint as well...

I plan to do a loop in California, starting 5/6th of April and leaving from LA 14th of june.
The complete route isn´t planned yet, I´d like ro take a look at Las Vegas , stay in the National Parks and take a closer look at San Francisco, then go down again direction LA.
Begin of June there is the Rock´n Roll Marathon in San Diego, that´s one idea to go to, after that leaving from LA..

No fixed plans yet, but open for suggestions!

Hi Heike,

there are few nice people in the area of LA I have made very good experiences with. If you are on facebook, look out for Eric Hall, he lives in Irvine and is very familiar with the entire area and knows a bunch of people.

hope that helps...

Alex
