Tunisia by Land Rover
Last year me and my husband drove round Morocco for three weeks using the excellent 'Sahara Overland' as our guide. Next year we're thinking of doing the same in Tunisia.
On our way back last year we gave our copy of the book to some very nice people we met who were on their way to Cape Town. So until we can get our hands on a new copy, here's my question...
Is Tunisia as interesting and challenging as Morocco? Or, bearing in mind we have only three weeks, would we be better off going back to Morocco?
Thanks in advance...

In my opinion, go back to Morocco - there is so much more variety and space there than in Tunisia and the Tunis ferry is 10 times more expensive than Mk.
If you're going to Tuni, you may as well go on to Libya or Alg... which is another story.

Tunisia has some more challenging sand driving to offer in the south, but for everything else you're indeed better off in Morocco.

Thanks very much! I have ordered a new copy of the 'Bible'. We'd love to go to Libya so I shall read up about it... I can see another major expedition coming on.
At the moment though it's looking like Morocco again or, for a total contrast, Iceland!

The thing we like best is camping in the desert. Can you rough-camp in Tunisia?
