You'll have no problem at all with regards to finding somewhere to camp and no one will throw you off "their" land.
You may find interested locals - even in remote places and if you're camping near villages, then you may well end up with a mobile jewellery/fossil store in your camp site! In my experience, the sellers were very polite and never gave us the hard sell, they just sat patiently waiting to see if we would come over and make a purchase. Of course, politeness and not getting wound up helps too!
Despite much read advice on the dangers of camping in Wadis, we always found these to be the best camp sites, as flat sandy spots, sheltered from the wind and offering privacy were aplenty. You'd have to be more careful though closer to or in the mountains where there is a greater risk of flash flooding.
Of course, why camp when the many Auberges offer a warm welcome and ridiculously good value for money! On a three week trip to Morocco, we only camped six nights, despite planning for much more!
