Ah, GM is quite up to date as it seems... impressive.
As of now, tarmac extends just a bit further away from Oujeft than what can be seen therein, but not yet to the bridge. The sealed segment after Oujeft is not supposed to be used yet (rows of stones placed on tarmac to force people to use the nearby piste, as you have probably seen many times on new roads elsewhere); but it looks like it's just a matter of time. In March, work was ongoing up to about 19 54.698 N, 12 54.687 W, where the road descends into the oued (the place I was referring to as Timinit, but actually rechecking on Ganidini's book the village is actually reported to be called Agroub).
There has been some work on the opposite side of the oued as well.
All in all it's not a particularly nice ride with the ongoing works, but at least a quick connection to get to the (very rocky) piste reaching El Berbara from the plateau.
