Emoticons don't work very well when included in an active link

App sounds good until you read the reviews

Had a look at it though and downloaded map for Iceland to see what the maps were like. Zoom in a bit and the ocean disappears off the screen completely. Huge fjords are reduced to a thin blue line down the middle which may be a ferry route???. Makes it hard to figure out where you are when you can't orient to a major geographical feature like that. Poor quality control.
The Australian voice is obviously a US voice, not that it matters because the British voices are just about perfect anyway,

No map scale showing

So, what the reviews say? Have you personally tried? Because the price so good and I am tempted to buy it!

I am trying the map of Ecuador and I dont have problems like the ones you described. It zooms in-out properly. Anyway.. there is so much competition out there..

(BTW:Why you edit your first post and not reply back?)

The reviews are there on the google app store for all to see.

I downloaded Iceland because it is a small file and I am pretty familiar with it so could check it against what I used on three previous visits.

The system allows members to edit their posts so that is what I did. When i started the edit there were no replies.

Have used Sygic on both my Android and iPhones for several years. Being retired I have the advantage of being able to spend several months each year, biking round Europe, camping all the way, no plans, just set a route up each night before turning in.
Originally used Garmin but came across Sygic and decided to run the two systems side by side to make a comparison. When Garmin got me lost deep in Spain and could not take me further, Sygic came into its own, brilliant now use nothing else.
Have recently bought a camper and have installed Sygic into the nav system. Fantastic, never lets me down.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
