Hellas Adventure Raid 2016

Hellas Adventure Raid 2016

9-15 May 2016

Location: Edipsos Evia Central Greece

Entry Fees: 400 euros Adventure Raid

After 11 years of successful organization, the organizers of Hellas Rally change the location of the event to a new place.
In the center of SouthEastern Greece, just 150klm from Athens airport and Patras Port, Edipsos, being famous for its touristic infrastructure and its rare Thermal Spas, will host the event in a single bivouac format for both Rally and Adventure Raid.

Few words about the location
Wellness, healing, and revitalizing waters for a holistic spa holiday in Evia

The baths at Edipsos in northern Evia have been attracting illustrious visitors for millennia. Emperors like Hadrian, Marcus Aurelius and Constantine the Great came to this small city in Evia to be healed by its waters. Aristotle himself tried to unlock the secret of their therapeutic powers. Why not take a dip yourself? You don’t have to be a VIP to profit from the springs’ timeless benefits.

The event

2016 is the year of Adventure Bikes

Adventure Riders will have the possibility to participate in both Race or Adventure Raid choosing among a challenging Rally Raid and a relaxing but full of emotions and off road Adventure Raid. Rider can choose between 400klm per day to150klm per day. Both events are license free and our participants will enjoy the same level of safety and care, including medical helicopter, numerous doctors, paramedics and ambulances.

Adventure Raid

Six days of riding on the remote areas of Central Greece mountains.

It is a unique group or personal experience,in the remote mountains, forests, beaches, valleys and more in six days escape raid
Single Bivouac-Hotel every day minimizes your costs and expands your experience

The everyday route is between 150-250 kilometers, 90% of them are off-road.
At the end of every day the group will be accommodated in standard three star hotels
with all the best condition available.

The route will be driven with GPS waypoints and Track.
It will depend on the choice of the participant to choose what is better for his
abilities of navigation through this raid.

Hellas Raid is a very best opportunity for adventure tourism, navigation training for athletes, physical training for rally or enduro competitors and of course a very intense and pleasant vacation time.

The route consists of everything: from stones, mud, dust, river crossing, forest, grass, valleys etc; and going from the sea level to 2400 meters altitude.

Sounds great. Is it possible to drive by roadbook?
Is there transportation from Germany/Holland/Belgium for the bike?

Roadbook Class yes, not in adventure raid.
you must enter the rally classes, but if you want something relaxed very similar to the Adventure Raid but with roadbook there is Lite Class with classification but racing license free.
Entry fee is 500 for Lite, 600 for Rally and 400 for raid.
From the countries you are asking yes there is from both Germany and Holland.
info@hellasrally.org to contact us and get more details about transportation.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
