2014 Adventure Travel Film Festival

Wanting another Adventure Travel fix in early 2014:

Welcome to the Adventure Travel Film Festival, founded by British Motorcycle Adventure legends, Austin Vince and Lois Pryce.

It’s not just an international celebration of the greatest adventure travel films from the 1920s to the present day. It’s a weekend knees-up too! So come on down, see the world, get inspired and join the party…

The festival will be landing in Bright, Victoria, Australia - February 14-16 2014. See you there!

Volunteers anyone?

Interested in being part of something big? Join us at the 2014 ATFF! We are looking for volunteers for some roles such as registration desk, setup etc. Usually just two hours at a time, not too big a demand on your time as you're there to have a great time. If you are interested, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Great to hear from you. Volunteers get a free ticket and two t-shirts; however you may not get to see as much of the films and presentations as you may like. Hopefully we get enough volunteers that each individual doesn't miss out on too much and also gets to see their respective favourites.

I see that via the C527 and B500 that Wodonga is only 1 1/2 hours from Bright, so that should be a great ride down.

Should I put you down on my volunteer list?

Regards,

Shane

ATFF Tickets are on sale now

Trybooking | AdventureTravel Film Festival 2014

My tip is to get your tickets and accomodation ASAP if you are thinking about coming.

BTW, I'm riding down from Brisbane. Planning on going down to Gippsland and then doubling back to Bright. Looking for a spare room here and there on my way down if anyone is willing to share.

Is there any chance of being a standby/maybe volunteer? Does that make sense? I'm just about to get started on my round-oz trip on an xr600, but I don't and won't have a definitive plan or itinerary. I've got an idea I might be in Vic doing a bit of farm work or something in Feb, but not definate. If I am, then I'd fancy coming to the festival and wouldn't mind doing a spot of volunteer work to save a few $$.

I've got a bit of spare time and haven't fully made up my mind but I would like to head down through Eden along the NSW coast down to Gippsland and then doubleback to Bright. I also need to be in Bright by the Thursday.

So I'll probably leave on Friday 7 Feb 2014 and take my time. Open to ideas of places to see and stay.

Regards,

Shane

Well that sounds like a great plan. I need plenty of volunteers ...

So yes, I'll put you on the volunteer list. Send me a private message with your details, if that's OK. Just let me know when you roll into town that you are there.

Hi Shane,
Carmen and I will be happy to pitch in at the stand for a couple of hours. We hadn't planned on getting there till Saturday lunch time but I guess we can make an effort and be there first thing saturday morning.

Hi Joe,

That's great news. We need volunteers Saturday and Sunday morning afternoon, so if you can't make it until Saturday afternoon, I'll put you down for Sunday morning? I really appreciate the help and I reckon that this will be the best year yet, by quite a margin.

Thanks,

Shane

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
