I don't know about the backpackers, but the caravan park wanted $35pn for an unpowered patch.
I opted for a self-contained apartment (sharing with others) where I can cook my own meals for only a bit more than the campsite.
Try getting a small group together and you can bring the price down to $40pn for a real bed.

I take it you mean 8 of feb? I might be in. I will be on the Pilliga forest until feb 3-5 then I do not know. Maybe a pause in Tamworth before I continue straight onwards. Want to be in by 13.

A mate and I are heading down on the 11th leaving at sparrows fart. We're just gonna burn down the Pacific Highway so we can be well past Sydney on the same day, and then we'll be ZigZagging through some twisties between mountains and sea all the way to Bright, arriving early Friday morning. Seeya's on the road!

Keep an eye out for me. Black Vstar 650, black bags, silver Shoei helmet. Haven't finalised my schedule yet, but I will be in Bright by Thursday 13 Feb. Pretty sure I will be in Canberra for a few days and doing a few roads such as Waterfall Way.

I too will be in Canberra for a few days beforehand and then going down thru Yackandandah.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
