Motorbike storage in Marrakesh

Hello,
Hopeing to leave my motorbike for 2 months in marrakesh when flying home for christmas.
Any suggestions of places/names where its possible to store the bike safely while away?

(another post here on horizon now said you can store the bike another place then the airport storage/customs, so that should open up some options now)

Appreciate any help.

Safe travels to everyone! :-)

Chris:

Will the OP have any difficulties with customs - either as a result of leaving the country without the motorcycle, or as a result of the motorcycle possibly being in the country for longer than a normal tourist vehicle is allowed to be in the country?

The TVIP lasts for 3 months and iirc can be extended another 3.
Plus there is a max time it - or you - can be in Morocco per year.

You are allowed a maximum six months in any one calendar year, so the clock will start again on 1 January. Pop along to customs at Marrakech airport and talk to them about extending the temporary import and then leaving the bike behind somewhere other than the airport (I've done both these things at Ouarzazate airport).

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
