When you download a trail from Wikiloc you are given a choice of File - Google Earth - GARMIN - iPhone/Android
Am I right in thinking you are selecting GARMIN?
Garmin Communicator is a flakey bit of software and uses plug-ins no longer supported by many browsers. Instead of selecting GARMIN I suggest you select File and choose .gpx as the format.
You then need to get the .gpx file over to the GPS. What model of Garmin GPS do you have?
If you have Mapsource or Basecamp software on your PC you can open the .gpx file with these and transfer it to your device. If you don't have these programs you need to google for instructions on how to transfer the .gpx to your particular GPS.
