I only succeeded the last moment thanks to some connections! Egypt is hard for overlanders anyway but if you are there, maybe you'll find a way. I know other motorcyclists who did too.

Do you have details on your shipping to Greece?

tmotten,

I am planning on leaving in May from Cape Town.

Well, when i say i am planning... i might change that part might leave little earlier or little later but i don't want to leave too late as Europe gets colder later

I've been to Egypt before )not on 2 wheels thought. I've seen pretty much most attractions that tourists were allowed to see and did some horseback riding in the desert. Bike's different.

I would love to go to Jordan and Israel and then onto Turkey or Europe.

Maybe it's possible to go from Sudan to Saudi and then onto Jordan, Israel and whatnot.

I don't know, it sucks that Suez is closed to bikes... i don't really have much faith in it being open though maybe...

anyway, my plan is to ride southern most point of Africa... to europe.. maybe end up northern scottland .. that part is even more open than sudan/egypt/jordan/israel situation

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
