KTM Heaven
I'm sure you've read all about it, but KTM is contributing to the times where adventurers, enduristas and off-roaders alike are close to nirvana (or so it is claimed...) due to the sheer number of new bikes available to us. In Milan KTM unleashed the 950 R Super Enduro and the fuel-injected KTM 990 Adventure. I want one. No - I want both!
I'm just a bit curious if KTM has managed to prolong the service intervals on the 990 compared to the 950...
Anyway: Picture of the Super Enduro:

Not too big, I'm afraid. Only 13 liters (3.43 gal). I'm sure Touratech or some other will make a bigger tank for it as it hits the shops in May 2006 ;-)

Regarding the ktm adventure....I was riding my mates 950 adventure in the Watagans National Park last weekend and feel 1. it points better than say the 1150gs and feels more dirt orientated however i think the 640 adventurer will allways be the better option for travelling the world, when comparing the two.The 950 has to much poke and doesnt get the power to the ground as good as the 150/1200gs.The hp2 while i have not ridden it looks to be the best all round bike,if you can buy a larger tank and larger tank and the subframe will handle carrying a load.In closing ...the ktm 640 adventurer as a twin would probably be the ultimate world tourer.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
