Ripley 2009
Am I imagining it, or has the date changed? I'm sure when I first checked I was actually off work on the weekend of this meet. Now, I need to put in for time off. Is the date fixed now? I realise it's early days but my shifts are fixed for many years to come, so getting a few days off out of rota needs some cunning planning.

Yes, the date is changed from 08 - the pub double booked and we lost out.
So for 09 it's 18-21 June 2009, at Ripley. Registration opens soon.
There will be other events, currently in the planning!

That's OK I'll get the time off booked early. I'll be at Ripley. Probably in the Travelodge before anyone mentions it.

I dont know whether this is of any relevance at all, but the 18 -21 june is also the British F1 Grand prix at Silverstone.
I have bought my F1 tickets so as much as i would have liked to go to Ripley, i will look out for other events with HU
Cheers

Good man! Sell that bloody ticket on the internet, then take out a Gold or Contributing Horizons Membership and do yourself a favour. And still have loads of money left over. And bring your doctor to Ripley too.

tickets on sale yet?
bit confused after the mini-meet in Somerset last weekend.
couple of guys said that tickets were already selling quickly, but the site says registration will start soon.
Is there a HU black market, or have I just been mis-informed? :confused1:

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
