Emailed Grant, but no reply yet.

Fustrating as hell, am hoping to get operation where they will graft a section of hamstring into the place where the ligament was, so have a couple of months to get the sidecar outfit fit for use. i reckon a bit of tube and a broomhandle attached to the gear change mech will see me back on the road quickly.

Am really hoping to get down to the meet, I would have applied, but am supposed to be racing in kent this weekend.

If anyone not able to make it, I could buy there ticket off them? That gives me an idea. see my next post.

Unhappy Ouch I bet that hurts

Hi,

Me again, funny you should mention your damaged knee, I did the same going to the H.U. meeting last year, i dropped my GPZ1000RX and twisted my knee the wrong way round and cracked a rib and broke on of my panniers. would like to thank the guy who gave me his last few (very strong) back pain killers to me THANKS who ever you were, they got me though the 4 days but my knee was like a rugby ball.

Hey Joe
I had that exact same Op several years ago. Waking up from the anaesthetic , I thought I had been hit by a truck !!! Revalidation was 6 weeks of pretty intense physiotherapy and then several month building up my muscles in my upper leg and getting the knee top work as it should. I was back playing Rugby with a knee brace about 6 month later but in hindsight I probably should have taken up gardening instead. I have long since hung up my boots and the knee is stable but never what it was before the injury and the Op. Good luck - I hope it works out for you.

Will put a ticket aside for you JOE 90. Please ask for it when you arrive at registration.

As of yesterday Grant isn't too well - according to Susan he has a bad case of Man Flu.

A slight sea mist is expected this weekend but other than that glorious sunshine!

Cheers, was the mist caused by grant???

was hoping to purchase an unused ticket from a member who couldn't turn up, is this out of the question?

had to ask.

On advice from the doc, and a severe bollocking from the girlfriend , am forced into taking the bike down in the back of the van.

this puts me in a sticky situation, am quite happy to buy a ticket off anyone, but the organiser has put one aside for me.

Obviously it is in the organisers interests to sell me a new ticket, ( but he has put one aside for me)

I don't want to pee anyone off, common sense tells me to buy the new ticket.
common sense also told me not to ride motorcyles in the 1st place

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
