Welcome to Austria

and a big hellooo from us, Mat and Karla!

We were so blown away by the community we decided to start our own meeting in Austria, our adopted home . I, Mat, am a British expat and Karla, my wife, is Mexican. We have lived here for over 20 years and love the country especially on two wheels!

hope to see you in September!
Mat and Karla

That is great news! For years we wished to have such a meeting back home in Austria. And now, when it finally happens - we are on our round the world trip.

We wish you all the best for the meeting and that it continues the years to come so that we can be part of it in the future.

All the best Andreas & Kerstin

Surprise

Hi,
greetings from Austria!
I am a little bit surprised to hear from the first adventure rider meeting in Austria, as i did attend two (out of three) Adventure Rider meetings in Austria in the last years already?

Maybe this is some misunderstanding?

Versya

And no, I am not the organisator :-(

that's not us, and this is the first I've heard of that event!
For us it's the first HU "Adventure Weekend" in Austria. Doesn't mean someone else doesn't use similar wording. "Adventure" is a much over-used word, but as long as we're all having fun, who cares?

Hi Versya,

This is a different event, BUT...it is organised by one of our main speakers, Martin at "World spins as fast as we ride", so there will probably be some of the same crowd.

Hope to see you at the HU Austria!

Hi Karla and Mat,

so cool to see you in Austria at YOUR Event again :-) Last year we met in Autumn Germany Event, so no doubt, we come to Austria also - just came home from an India Himalayan Trip in Kashmir and Ladakh, sitting in the office is now the most important question, where to go to next with the Bikes, so - that is is - Austria HU Meeting

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
