G'day!!!
I have known HU for several years and been to a few meetings in North Carolina/USA.
About a year ago I had to move back to Germany after 15 years in AUS and US and would like to get involved with motorcycling again and was suprised to find out that HU is active in Germany, too!
I am not sure if I can attend the spring meeting. But I am hoping for an autumn gathering. Are there any dates set?
In the meantime, are there any HU members in the Munich area?
I am so new to the area and am still trying to find my way around and really don't know anyone (yet). It would be so nice making new friends who love riding as much as I do.

Hi Vera, and welcome in the HU community.
There were a few members in Germany, but thanks to Jens (El Aleman) HU became well known in Germany.
I believe there are at least two members in Munich. As for me, I'm living just south of Munich. Haven't decided yet whether I'll be at the meeting in May, but could give you a holler if I'm going.

Initially I did not think I could make it. But now that we had to submit our vacation for 2013, I put the 17th May in as a day off.
So we will be there! If someone would have told me 2 years ago that I would be attending a HU meeting in Europe, I would have told them they had lost their mind.
I am looking forward to it!
How and when and where do we make reservations? I am not into camping, but can do a cabin for example. Nothing fancy.

Pre-registration isn't open yet, but you should find it under "Events" soon. If you take a look at the 2012 meeting, Jens has organised accommodation in the vicinity.

Hi all,
I hope we will make it to the meeting. I'd love to meet you all again and try to catch a few ideas for our this years trip.

G'Day everybody!
I've been looking for months, if there's a further HU meeting in Central europe, which I can attend. I'm new to the community ( 24, got my license only for 18 months now, very busy in studying) but I hope I can make it to the meeting in May.
I'm not sure yet if I can help or if I could offer a workshop. I'm a nurse, paramedic, instructor for first aid and studying medicine right now. Unfortunately I don't have a lot travel experience, which is going to come this summer.
Anyway..I'm looking forward to the event, let me know if I can help!
Regards from Bonn, GER

That would be fun. Right now I don't know if I am coming alone or bringing my partner with me. We only have my bike and it is kind of tiring riding two up on it. But I have it already in my calendar and looking forward to my first HU meet in Germany!
Does anyone know if Susan and Grant are coming as well? I would love to see them again.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
