Needless to say a bit more power is always nice too.
So, as the seat is sorted, I want to hypothetically sort the engine power thing! It does not help that I am a compulsive tinkerer, even if the tinkering never even leaves my imagination!!
What aircooled lumps do you reckon would would fit an XR4 frame and still make a good functional motorcycle. My first guess is the XR600... any more?

Stick a big fat 600 in it and there goes your light and nimble bike...
Its light because it has a small light aircooled 400 lump in it. A bigger engine adds weight which means the frame might need bracing and reinforcing, again adding weight.
