as i understand it...
regulators, fuel pumps, choke mechanisms, and SOME gearbox output shafts are all weak spots. wheel rims, standard exhausts and brake calipers suffer from galloping tin worm.
of those the only worrying one is the gearbox output shaft... a huge job to repair. Definately worth checking.

What i would say is that there are a lot of stolen AT's out there. Check the bikes' history and numbers as carefully as you check the rest of the bike.
