Mark Mezo

I'm very sad to report the passing of Mark Mezo on 25th November 2021.

I first met Mezo in 2008 when he'd just started rebuilding his beloved Tenere (3AJ) on ADVrider... inspired by his resto I went on to restore several Tenere's of my own & had a thread running alongside his, however after he was banned from Advrider a few of us went on to create The Tenere Forum, which was run by Mezo alone for years... he has helped hundreds of people with advice on their own rebuilds on the forum and on here and will be a sad loss to the XT and Tenere community.

The last couple of years he's been "living the dream" travelling around Australia in his motor home & was just getting the hang of flying his drone.

His last stop was in Elliot Heads Qld, where, after being contacted by a concerned mate, the camp site owners found him in his motor home yesterday morning. He'd had a heart attack.

He'll be sadly missed...

Mezo

Very sad indeed.

I had never met Mark Mezo in person, but I exchanged some emails with him when I rebuild my Yamaha XT600Z Tenere between 2014 and 2018. His Tenere Forum inspired me to do a few changes to the bike and it helped he helped me a lot with information for my rebuild. As I am just a rider/traveler, it was good to have some help from somebody that knew the 600 Tenere down to fine detail.

As I had other friends dying suddenly in the last few weeks, I thought back of a post that I read from Mezo some time ago about his point of view on vaccination. But having a brief look back on the thread I thought he posted, I could not find his post/posts anymore. Also checking under his name on the Hubb, his posts ended in 2016, strange, as I am sure he posted recently. He was a very active member here.

I could only find a quote from him.

And guess what happens then? yep were back to square one & all this work, money & lives lost will be for nothing.

Mezo."

Thank you G3Off for letting us know here at the Hubb.

Mezo, Rest In Peace

Hi Mika

Yes I have noticed that Mezo's posts have disappeared... I'm trying to find out why.

I have had no response to emails. So, I am un-deleting the posts, I don't think his many great contributions should be lost.
RIP Mezo.

Sad news indeed. He always seemed willing to help and contribute to the community.

And so sad to finally escape society, find his dream and then have it cut short.

discovered this sad news only now, from one technical thread.
no real life interactions but remember him as abundant source of clear and useful infos/advices.
posts above also highlight his importance and passion.
as people in my country used to say, he's gone to the better world.

rest in peace, Mezo
