We seem to be talking UK insurers. Any excuse to welch on the bet and they'll take it. If in doubt they say no.

And this is exactly why I asked this question here !
I've been trying to find short term Green Card cover 'outwith' the UK but without success.
Thanks Andy
Mike.

A re-think..
My initial thought was to take as much as I could carry in the form of toiletries, socks, colouring pads and crayons..or anything small and simple that might be useful there.
And then I read this ;
https://www.abi.org.uk/products-and-...kraine-crisis/
And then this ;
https://www.cobx.org/highcharts-maps
So I called up my insurers again and quoted these links...same response, sorry but no !

We are hosting a Ukrainian couple and they are regularly in touch with back home. They don't need anything (at least that could be carried on a bike), they just need the end of the war.
As for insurance, I totally get wanting to arrange it in advance, but I reckon you're looking at buying at the border.

But it's still nice to make the effort, regardless.
As for buying at the border..someone checked out two crossings for me just a few weeks back and there was nothing available..so he went in without insurance.
I will go to the border and check and I will also carry something to give.

Insurance for anyone who might be interested.
I'll try at the border.
I did get a reply from this company who were willing to offer cover, but at 260 Euro for a minimum of one month.
But at least they are willing to provide so it might be an option for travellers going to other countries for longer periods ?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
