April/May time what's the regularity of ferries and are bikes catered for?

My experience is 3 years old. Ferry betwee Naples and Sardinia had no provision for bikes. I could park anywhere on th car deck, boarding before all the cars. Plenty of room in areas that couldn't be used by cars or trucks. No tie-downs were provided - I had to search around to find some lengths of dirty discarded rope and tie the bike to whatever I could find as there were no rings on the floor. Overnight cabins were worn but reasonably clean.
Ferries between Sardinia and Corsica and Marseille were well set up for bikes. One provided tied-downs and the crew did the tying down, the other had specially made hinged brackets that come down from the wall and straddle the seat of the bike and a tie-down that then goes to a ring on the floor. Again, the crew did the securing of the bike.
I didn't book any of the ferries in advance.
There is more info and perhaps photos on my blog Old Farts on a Bike to Turkey
I hope this helps.
