Irish Motorbike Insurance Spain

Hey folks, emergency help needed please!

Anyone recommend an insurance company that can insure an Irish registered motorbike in Spain/Europe?
I've moved to Spain just a few months ago, and my Irish insurance is now out (they only give us 3 months abroad).

I fully plan to change my plates over to Spanish, but it's going to take a while, it's apparently a slow painful process over here.

If anyone can recommend an insurance company that might be able to help, major pints would be owed. All that I've reached out to so far have told me they don't do foreign plates.

Thanks in advance, mucho apreciado!

Linea Directa (Spanish equivalent of Direct Line) certainly used to offer insurance to UK plated cars, contact info... https://www.lineadirecta.com/english...act/index.html

Whereabouts are you in Spain? I keep a motorbike in our Spanish property on the Altiplano de Granada (Andalucia). It's insured with AMV which might also be an option for you, https://www.amv.es/

I only have third party with AMV, and the insurance is about €160 which includes a green card for Morocco.

Linea Directa are, as far as I know, the only full-size company that provides a full service in English, including bilingual paperwork, accident form, etc.

Getting your bike registered is something you should get done right now, otherwise you'll be on the hook for taxes (ask me how I know, lol). As long as you do it through a *good* gestoria it shouldn't take long, but now is the time to get the ball rolling because if you leave it till August nothing will happen because the traffico is basically closed for the holidays.

It's really not a bad process TBH, provided your bikes in good nick. You'll need all your and the bike's paperwork, and a certificate of conformity which is available free from the manufacturer (for bikes made this millennium).

Excellent, cheers guys! I have a quote from Linea directa already, been hard to connect with them with my giuiri Spanish so far, but I'll push through.
I'll also try this AMV too now, see what they say.
As for the gestorias, I've emailed a couple that I found a few weeks ago, haven't heard back from them, need to find me someone better I guess.
Thanks guys, much appreciated!

On the Linea Directa website you can find the english language number to call (917 002 006). One thing to be warned about them, they really don't like cancelling so they follow the letter of the law - to cancel you need to provide them with details of a new insurance company, details of a new owner, or evidence the bike has been scrapped. Others are not so picky.

As for Gestors, you have to go and talk to people face-to-face, none of them will do anything with just an email. Make sure you have your paperwork, or a copy of it (any copy shop will run you off a set, it's a good idea to have a copy of everything you might hand over). Some Gestors will have no idea about importing vehicles, some only deal with stuff like investments and pensions, or only do transfers of ownership. If you have doubts, go elsewhere.
