Unhappy In search of German "Fixer"

I need some local help. A german national to assist in purchasing a bike (will compensate of course)

Nobody responds to emails/requests from sites (mobile.de, autoscout24). And/or as a non-german (no phone number) I cannot register even to send messages (ebay).

Everything is prepared for me to purchase my dream bike and bring it home (RD07). I am in Canada; arrangements are made that as of April 1, I can pull the trigger within a couple days notice to fly to Germany and finalize the deal.

Can someone help?

If you don't find anyone better, contact Christoph:

+372 5o38833 , 562o22I2

He is a German who lives in South Estonia and organizes bike purchases and delivery from Germany. Exactly this sort of thing - tell him what you need, show a few mobile.de posts, he will say what's close enough to his regular route that he could pick it up, and will negotiate with the German sellers on your behalf. For an extra 75-150 euros, he will even have the bike inspected by a local certified mechanic. Of course, the Estonia angle is surplus to your requirements, so I only suggest this if you have no other alternative.

Two people have reached out to me directly. Thank you. I will tag this closed for now. The hardest part of the entire adventure so far is finding someone legitimately wanting to sell an actual AT.... There have been some scam attempts, and almost without exception, nobody responds. Hopefully it's just a matter of time.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
