HU-France - Moto Assistance SVP
Bonjour HU-FR,
I live in the States near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. My hope was to join HU FR for the September 2020 Travellers Meeting in Loupiac but that is not going to be possible; COVID
I have a problem that I hope someone in the HU family may be able to help.
I have a Tiger 800 that I normally keep near Tours FR. However, last fall I left it in storage in Munich DE. The plan was to rejoin the moto in April and ride to Hungry, Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany before leaving it at its home in La Ville Aux Dames FR. Then this fall, meet up with HU FR. However, the moto still remains in Munich because of COVID and now the owners of the storage want me to remove it this fall.
I need a way to get the moto back to FR - a transport or someone who would like a moto excursion. Travel from the States to the EU just isn't practical it seems and the riding window will be closing soon. Any suggestion is welcome.
Feel free to share this and drop me a message. And a big thank-you for your help!
Mike

Hi
I life like 2 hours away from Munich - but I could keep your bike at my "ranch" - we have much space!
Otherwise there is some professional motorbike transport agencies around Germany - Just google "Motorrad Transport". I am quite sure they can help to get your bike from M to FR...
I am still on the road till End of October...
In case I can help you with the Tiger then just tell me... I am a world traveller as well - my bike sits right now in Vancouver and I can't get there as well...
LOL
Greetings
Check #freiheitenwelt - that's me ;-)

Hello Freiheitenwelt,
Thank you for your message and offer to help. I am working through a few options as I type now but nothing yet is certain. If things fall apart, I will drop you a note. Can you tell me what village you are in or near? Thanks a lot again!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
