Hi! Last year (April 2008) we took the Fergun Ferry from Tasucu (near Silifke, Turkey) to Girne (NCY). 4 persons, 2 bikes. From Antalya and Alanya there are ferries just after 15 May, bu they are just for passengers, and not for bikes or cars. The Tasucu-Girne ferry is slow, dirt, no place to sleep, and has bad smell. It starts at about 3:00 A.M. from Tasucu, but you have to be at the port at 22:00, because of the burocratic Turkish border procedures. You'll arrive at about 11:00 o'clock to Girne.
Tickets cost about 217 euro for 2 persons and 1 bike (there and back from Cy). But when we wanted to leave North Cy to TR we had to pay about 15 euro / pers for ticket and about 2,5 euro / pers for exit taxes (don't ask why ...).
For NCY the insurance for 1 bike was 60 euro for a month.
The border crossing between NCY and SCY by bike or car isn't at Ledra Palace but at Metehan. When you arrive in Lefkosia turn right at the first roundabout and ask for it, because it is very hard to find it from the city (very few people know where is it).
No taxes between NCY and SCY.
Have a nice trip!
