Barcelona Day Trip Suggestions?
Hi folks, as the title suggests I'm just looking for any and all suggestions for nice day trips from Barcelona. I'm after moving over here recently, and I would love to get to know the countryside around the city. I'd love to hear of any suggestions for day trips, motorbike routes, tourist attractions, picturesque locations, pretty camping sports, hiking areas, or anything like that that I can find out in the countryside outside of Barcelona. Any and all recommendations appreciated!
Gracias,
Mick

Try going north up the coast road. You'll get in to some good road's and nice coffee shop's. One of the best biker road's is all of Spain is just the other side of Toss de Marr.

A destination rather than a route: Bassella Moto Museo. Great museum; 'bikes of all types and ages.
(They have a branch in Barcelona too.)

I suppose you are aware that you will be in Catalonia and not in Spain. We have an own language, culture and identity and are in the process of becoming independent from Spain. The problem with most tourists is that they have a wrong idea of where they are and search for fake Spanish stereotypes like flamenco, paella or sangria (or bullfight before it was banned in Barcelona). I you don't know anything about Catalonia or the Catalan culture, just google that, I don't think nobody would go to Edinburgh not being aware that they are going to Scotland.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
