Asturias, Northern Spain, in July- TET?
I'll be in Northern Spain for around 10 days in July, arriving in Santander. I have a friend living in Asturias, so would like to base myself there and ride some scenic trails during the daytime, possibly camping (campsites, or low-key bivouacing if allowed) on trips further away from his place if possible.

I've looked at where the TET goes through the region, but don't really have any way of knowing which parts of the trail are better than others, or any way to get more info on them. I see that the TET forum no longer seems to exist, and, not having Facebook, can't access any other kind of forum, other than on here. I do have the TET app, along with android GPS app that shows the TET route.

So, can anyone recommend any trails in/around Asturias/Cantabria/Picos de Europa? I walked a part of the trail between Espinama to Sotres a couple of years ago so would like to return with a motorbike this time.

Are there any restrictions in place throughout July, e.g. relating to fire regulations, etc.?

Is low key camping possible anywhere, or not?

Any advice appreciated.

Just use Wikiloc to find some nice routes, with a little digging you can probably find something that will suit what you want ... it's worth checking reviews / notes attached to verify they're as described

EDIT: As for camping, wild camping is illegal in Spain, and in June there may be Rangers / adjuntament officers / ADF / rural police, or maybe the fire service patrolling in wild areas (who will come down like a grand piano on a cartoon character on anyone who starts a fire or looks like they might start one) so you're better off finding a campsite. Of course, if you know the area and are local then you know when rules can be bent, but as a foreigner it's best to play it safe. Make sure you have all your paperwork with you, because rural police and rangers will also check motorbikes are legal on some of the more popular walking trails

Ok, thanks. Paperwork, as in what exactly- driving licence/MOT/Logbook- what else is there?!

V5, driving licence, insurance and green card. MOT not required.

Won't do any harm to have the MOT too, but yeah the other three are mandatory. Plus your passport, since a driver's license isn't considered an official form of ID and people are supposed to carry legal ID with them at all times ... though that's unlikely to be a problem unless you get stopped by a copper having a really bad day

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love.
