Green Card UK
I need a green card for my bike for the UK. The quote I have is 250-Euro for one month which seems extremely excessive. I can get three months for all of Europe (minus UK) for 140-Euro.
Is there anyway I can get a cheaper deal for the green card in the UK?
My bike arrives in the UK at the beginning of April 2025.
Thank you for any advice,
Bill F.

Unfortunately since the Brexit idiocy the UK is no longer part of the EU and different rules apply, notably the ones that make it easier to travel. Don't bother trying to find a UK insurer to cover you, it's hard enough to get those fkers to cover our own bikes I'd say start with the usual suspects - Tourinsure.de and Knopf. Cost wise you may just have to bite the bullet I'm afraid. Be careful of anyone who will just sell you a piece of cheap paper, the ones above are reputable.
Edit, although I spoke to Ivo about insurance a while ago I've been advised he no longer does it, so post edited to keep the resident forum moaner quiet.

Please remove Motocamp Bulgaria from your suggestions as a place to get green card insurance for UK vehicles in the rest of Europe or any vehicle (unless on a Bulgarian plate) in the UK. Your information is *factually* wholey incorrect.
You're wasting the time of the nice people at Motocamp Bulgaria, because every time you suggest false information, they have to respond negatively to emails/calls etc.
Motocamp Bulgaria

*CAN*
*Arrange insurance for vehicles registered outside Europe that covers many EU and some non EU European countries (but definitely not the UK)
*Offer some of the best accomodation and hospitality for bike travelers in Europe
*Store your bike at very reasonable rates
*Supply consumables like chains/sprockets/oils for you to service your own bike on site, or someone very proficient to do it for you (at a very reasonable price).
*Arrange bike repairs.
Bulgaria is an excellent on and off pavement (using American English vernacular) biking destination

Thank you for your suggestion, Desmond. Much appreciated. Really!
At this moment in time however, I think I need to use as many or as few lines as I deem appropriate.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
