We bought the SMH5's and have been really happy with them. We both have Nolan helmets. Mines an N43Air and the wife has an N104.
Range was fine for us, furthest apart we got was when paying for petrol. Never had any problems in the rain, the Sena's are all waterproof as far as I am aware. And they have got a soaking a few times.
Battery seems OK. I always charge them at the end of the day though, so they are ready for the next day. My only criticism would be that the SMH5's seem to loose charge if the mic/speaker plug is left in, even when the intercom is off. Not a big issue,I only discovered this when the helmets/intercoms were not used for a week or so. The SMH10 has a slightly different speaker/mic arrangement so may not suffer this.
As for performance, there great. We had a Palmer screen on the Triumph and that protected us from direct wind, so no doubt that would help the intercom performance.
All said and done, I don't think you would be disappointed with any of the Sena range. They always get good reviews.
