Ooooh .. Left the passport in the tent while you went wandering . Bad practice PP and CC and all IMPORTANT PERSONAL documents should be carried on your person at all times . Definitely never in tank bags. Lesson learnt

Try this idea,
Contact the hotel Posada San Francisco in San Cristobal, Located on Calle Pasteur corner of Vaselio in the southern end of downtown, a block or so from the new Palacio de Justicia ( sorry don't have hotel phone number but you should be able to google the hotel)
They may be willing to work a storage deal. I've stayed there several times and it might work for you . The hotel is on second floor while ground floor is a big parking garage/ rental hall which is also used by a church group . You might be able to convince them to let you leave the bike parked in a corner , for a reasonable fee and you would get a room while you wait for parts before/ after your visit to MEX DF embassy for passport

Update
I will leave the bike in San Cristoval. There is a motorcycle friendly hostel - Rossco Hostel.
The owner suggested to keep the bike here for free!
If anybody need help in the area you can find him on google / iOverlander.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
