Tent - with a garage for your bike?!

Ok so I've just come across a 2 man tent ... with a garage!!

It's called the Vango Turini 200 Touring Tent and is sold at go outdoors in the UK.

This is a possibly buy for my travels however it is 6.6kg which isn't exactly great! But hey, thought I'd share it and see what everyone thinks!

I've seen the hubba hubba but at £300 it's a stretch outside of my budget

I will most likely go for the vango mirage 200 as it has the freestanding option as well as the pegged option so when needs must I can set up on a grim concrete or stone base. It's half the price of the hubba too

Personally, I would only consider one of those if I were setting up a base camp in a rainy climate for weeks at a time. But for active travel? Never. Too heavy (especially if packed wet), too large packed up and it isn't free-standing. But keep in mind that I greatly value traveling light so that I can move around easily, quickly carry luggage up to hostels, and go anywhere (including some places that don't have roads).

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
