Altberg Hogg All Weather Microlite Boots

Hi,

The Altberg Hoggs get many positive reviews on here, but has anyone experience of the Hogg All Weather Microlite? If so grateful for your review of them.

Thank you in advance.

Ian.

Rode up to Richmond back in 2011 before my London -> Mongolia trip, got a pair fitted, still have them, in addition to that trip used them for 18 months around south, central and north america as well on another trip.

Got my moneys worth out of them. I still have them, although I have neglected them and they are a bit worse for wear now.

They are waterproof and very durable and give good protection.

On the downside they are heavy and you dont get alot of feel for the gear lever or the brake pedal.

Quality Boot.

I was wondering about them as a second pair to take for days when I'm walking round with maybe just a bit of light local riding, but I thought they might be a bit too bulky to pack.

I wear mine daily to work, i'm on my second pair since 2010. Though the first pair are still serviceable.
I walk in them (including the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu),
and I ride and tour in them.
They're warm, comfortable and waterproof.
Recommended.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
