Fuel injection: no problem!
The 1150 uses fuel injection so it compensates for altitude and you don't need to adjust the idle speed. Since two separate cables are used to activate the throttles the only time the balance goes off is if one cable has stretched more than another. This doesn't happen very quickly and only affects how smooth the bike runs with small impacts on performance and economy. I would suggest not taking a balancer along and stopping at a mechanic once every 15,000 km or so to check it out or whenever the bike is buzzing more than it used to.
