I should explain - it is not "inside" the engine in the sense that no covers were removed at the time - it is perhaps better to say that it fell onto the engine, somewhere round the crank case area - but it didn't fall all the way through to the ground as I might have expected.I thought I would be able to see most of the nooks and crannies where it might have come to rest. My main concern was that it could rattle around, perhaps rubbing against some rubber parts causing wear, or if there was any way it could acutally get into any of the main moving parts inside the casing.
Thinking about it now it will probably vibrate its way out - with the help of the wind on my next run.
