For sale: Honda Falcon 400cc in Quito or Bogota

Selling my Honda Falcon NX4 400cc motorbike in Quito or Bogota, Colombia.
2011 model / built in Brasil / 37.000 km / runs very well
15l tank for distance of 250km.

see wiki for technical information:
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Falcon_NX4

Available in Quito from 20th of Febuary or Bogota from 08th of March. In each place there are some weeks to spare up till mid of March. So you can be more flexible on your arrival.

Including:
- rack (allowing you to ride with 2 people and 1 backpack/big bag and 1 day pack. Possibility to add a side bag to the right and a small item at the left; look pictures)
- side bag (see pictures, red)
- elastics (enough for fixing 4 bags from two travelers)
- one helmet
- phone holder
- insurance valid in Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Brasil till September 2019 (value 50,-€)
- all legal documents

You will be ready to roll the moment you put it on your name!

Ex-Police Bike. I bought it used for US$ 5000,- in Uruguay in September 2018 and traveled 12k km through South America. The bike is still in good shape. I invested another $350,- on new tires, rack and chain. They can be driven for many kilometers more. I've got 3800$ dollars in mind to sell the bike, but we can talk.

As my trip ends in the end of March 2019 in Bogota, I'd like to sell my beautiful motorbike. Otherwise I will let a local friend in Cali use it till my next visit to this country.

As the bike is from Uruguay I will pay a import fee in Ecuador or Colombia such that transfer of ownership can be made legally. I've been talking to lawyers of both countries on the topic. Everything should work with the local authorities.

The motor with 400cc is bigger than the normal 125-200cc machines that are more frequent in South America. I highly recommend on taking a bigger motor when your planning to visit the Andes as well. You can enjoy riding serpentines, steep slopes and some muddy/grave roads as well without any problems. On hights like 3800m+ everything works a little less fast, but still suficient. With my bike I could ride it all. Even with two persons.

I made an unforgettable trip through Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. So if you like it I can help you with your itinerary.

Hopefully I can make someone else happy with this amazing way of traveling.

PM me for more info!

PS: See link for pictures of the bike alone, with equipment as I've been traveling or a option for two travelers and equipment of the two.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
