For Sale DRZ400s in UK Adventure Ready!

Hi,

Here we have for sale my DRZ400s which I had been getting ready for a 1 year trip from South America to Alaska. Unfortunately, I now have other obligations to do with work which means that I can no longer go on the trip and so I have decided to sell.

I bought the bike a little over a year ago and have been preparing it ever since. It is in really good condition throughout and will make an excellent lightweight adventure bike for somebody. The panniers have never been used and are brand new.

Additional features:

Hand guards
Headlight grille/protector
LED headlight (so much better than the original!)
Engine case covers
Off road foot pets
Kick start (has electric start as well)
28 L safari tank (I have the original too, in good condition)
Bash plate
Tarty aftermarket gear select lever (folding)
Frame heel plates
Rim locks
Tusk panniers (27l) and pannier frame (brand new, never used)

The bike is currently SORN and has no MOT (it will need new tyres to pass MOT as it is currently on the knobblies that it came with when I bought it and they are fairly worn) however it has been kept garaged and on trickle charge. I regularly start the bike to keep it running nicely. Any questions, please ask. Jake

NB - I work in London for the ambulance service and the bike is kept in Surrey at my parent's house/garage, therefore if you do buy we'll have to arrange a day when I'm not on shift to come down to the house and give you a proper handover of the bike. You will need a van to take it away due to no MOT. I have taken a lot of care over this bike and it really is a reluctant sell, so please don't try and rip me off with stupid offers. Cash on collection preferred.

Nice bike. I'm on the lookout for a DRZ400, but just for laning (not an E model though, an S like yours), but yours looks too nice to plod around lanes in Wiltshire!

What are you looking for, for it?

cheers

Hi Jim,

Well the thing is that I've prepped this bike for a really specific task, which I appreciate is not what most people are looking for!

It has just been on eBay for a week at £3850 with the panniers and the original fuel tank. I priced it as such based on looking at the other DRZ400s from 2006/2007 with between 10,000 - 15,000 miles. Those bikes were generally priced at £3500-£3850 and I therefore priced mine at the top end of that bracket which I think is a good deal considering you get £500 worth of brand new panniers included in the price.

Of course, I was/am open to offers but despite the specific request not to lowball me, I had people offering as low as £2800 which I'm just not prepared to accept.

As far as green lanes go, I took this bike down a few before it had the giant tank and the panniers on it and it was really easy and confidence inspiring and it's an excellent bike for the lanes in my opinion.
