07 Suzuki DR650 FOR SALE. Adventure Ready! Around Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico/Guatemala

Sadly the time has come to sell my trusty DR.

Buying the bike late summer 2018 in California, I rode it through Baja and mainland Mexico and into Guatemala. The motor has had no issues and is completely leak free. Only problems I had were a couple flat tires in the desert. I have always ensured to do regular maintenance and change oil/clean airfilter etc twice as regularly as recommended in the manual.

The bike is fully set up for all your adventure needs. It includes the Nelson Rigg waterproof luggage system in yellow :-)

It has an upgraded Mikuni TM40 flatside pumper carburettor and DG aftermarket exhaust installed which together results in a lot more power and throttle response over a stock DR650.

The suspension has been re-sprung for heavier loads and the bike can easily cruise at speed whilst fully loaded with a pillion passenger and two saddle bags plus two large rear bags, offroad and on pavement.

Also fitted is a large 5.3 gallon fuel tank giving the bike considerably more range, over 200 miles between fill ups.

Engine side guards and aluminium bashplate for peace of mind offroading.

Runs and rides great, clean motorcyle.

Mods include:
Mikuni TM40 flatside pumper carburettor
DG exhaust can
5.3 gallon fuel tank (Acerbis)
Aftermarket seat
Upgraded front/rear springs for 200lbs +/- rider
Trail Tech Vapor speedometer
2xUSB charging ports @ 3 Amps
Laminar lip windshield
Handguards (Acerbis)
Includes Nelson Rigg waterproof tail and saddle bags
Heavy Duty saddle bag support racks (Dirtracks)
Rear luggage rack
DR 250 compact tail lights
Engine guards & aluminium bashplate
Countershaft seal retainer
Airbox 3x3 mod
SM front fender
Little turn signals
Oil filter magnet
Pirelli MT60 front & Kenda K761 rear tires w/lots left
Clymer maintenance manual included

16,500 miles.

Brand new Motion Pro clutch cable and new battery installed.

Asking US$4000 or your best offer! Negotiable.

The bike is currently California plated and registered until July 2019.

I am hoping to sell in Quintana Roo because there is no need for TVIP here which will help facilitate the title transfer process. I am flexible though and can meet a buyer halfway somewhere or in Guatemala, just ask!

EDIT: I will also consider delivering the bike back to tbe USA for a serious buyer. Message me.

Feel free to PM me for any questions. Also whatsapp me on (plus 44)772411four528.

Cheers then!

It has 16,500 miles which is around 26,000 km.

Bike is registered in California. The process of transferring the names on the title is pretty straightforward.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
