You will not find an XRV for sale or rent in Australia, never an official import & the ones there are (a dozen or so) are/were private imports & highly collectable.

Try a DR650 that has been set up for long distance outback riding (big tank) reasonable price & they do the job just fine.

Renting is expensive in OZ, buying a bike is the way to go.

Hello and thank you for your reply. I understand my request is a long shot. However, some passions fade and one's interests may drift onto another model. All motorcycles eventually change hands for one reason or another.

I am hoping to find a taller rider for a bike-swap that appreciates comfortable ergonomics and a mutually beneficial opportunity. The delays and costs associated with a round-trip shipment (bio-security, port fees, carnet) is a much higher percentage of the value of the motorcycle than in the past and doesn't justify shipping from one continent to another.

100% correct rarely does an XRV come on to the market and as many of us know (or at least know of each other) they sell fast to very small community.

Getting a DR or Other bike would not be hard.
